IS THE ISLAND OPEN?

Per the Dominican Republic government, our island will open to international travelers on July 1, 2020.  In addition to this, the President of the Dominican Republic has issued a stay-at-home order through June 3, 2020. We recommend checking our website for updated info.

MY FINAL BALANCE IS DUE, WHAT NOW?

Our system will automatically process your final balance due 30 days before arrival.  You can pay your final balance with confidence knowing that if the island is closed during your stay dates, you will be offered the choice to either move your vacation date to another 2020-2021 open week with a 10% GPCV transfer discount or receive a refund less applicable taxes/fees.

WHAT ARE YOUR CLEANING PROTOCOLS?

When you rent your Go Punta Cana Vacations, you can book with the confidence that your home has been properly cleaned and sanitized prior to your arrival. Cleaning a vacation rental home is no small task, but our housekeeping and maintenance staff has been fully trained on how to utilize the appropriate supplies during this time of uncertainty. We want to remain transparent regarding our process so that you and your family can rest assured that Go Punta Cana Vacations has taken every step to ensure your property has undergone the rigorous process of sanitizing your vacation rental.  All our Go Punta Cana Vacations staff members will also be required to wear a mask and gloves prior to entering any vacation rental property.

Cleaning, Sanitizing & Disinfecting

We have always followed a strict policy of cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting for the vacation homes we clean and maintain. While we cannot guarantee a virus-free environment, we are ramping up our procedures and taking extra care in each home to ensure all surfaces are disinfected including countertops, and frequently touched items like doorknobs, switch plates, remotes, and phones.

As details continue to evolve, we want to share additional safety measures we have put in place to protect the health and safety of our Go Punta Cana Vacations team, our guests, our homeowners, and our community.

Cleaning is defined by the CDC as “the removal of germs, dirt, and impurities from surfaces. It does not kill germs, but by removing them, it lowers their numbers and the risk of spreading infection.”

Disinfection is a separate step that should come after. If surfaces are dirty, they should be cleaned prior to disinfection.

In addition to standard cleaning, housekeeping vendors have been instructed to spend extra time disinfecting the following high-touch areas: all knobs and handles, light switches, countertops, interior handrails, faucets, remotes, etc.

  • We are providing disinfectant cleaning supplies to our housekeeping vendors.

  • Our bed linens (sheets & pillowcases), towels and blankets will be washed in the property by our housekeepers during each departure cleaning and placed in each bedroom for your use. All homes will have their beds freshly made prior to your arrival unless otherwise requested by the guest in advance. Sleeper sofas, futons, and day beds and will not be made in advance of your stay. Those beds  will have their linens sealed in plastic wrap.

  • During this time, we are not making beds with bedspreads/comforters/quilts/shams/decorative pillows. Bedspreads will be folded in bedroom closets and not placed on beds.

  • We are conducting regular and frequent disinfecting of high-touch areas in our office (including door handles, light switches, countertops, etc.).

  • We are supplying hand sanitizer and lots of hand soap throughout our office.

  • We are reinforcing illness prevention procedures with all Go Punta Cana Vacations team members and vendors as recommended by the medical community, including frequent handwashing, avoiding contact with your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands, and avoiding close contact with people who are sick.

  • We are instructing team members who are exhibiting symptoms of illness to stay home.

Go Punta Cana Vacations is dedicated to doing all we can to protect your vacation experience in the face of this pandemic.

Linens & Towels

Our bed linens (sheets & pillowcases), and towels will be washed in the property by our housekeepers during each departure cleaning and placed in each bedroom for your use. All homes will have their beds freshly made prior to your arrival unless otherwise requested by the guest in advance. Sleeper sofas, futons, and day beds and will not be made in advance of your stay. Those beds  will have their linens sealed in plastic wrap.

Maintenance

Our Go Punta Cana Vacations maintenance staff members, will be required to wear a mask and gloves prior to entering any vacation rental property. We will continue to respond to all maintenance requests in a prioritized manner.   Non-essential maintenance requests that can wait until guest departure may not be able to be honored.  Non essential visits will be severely limited or restricted.  We will only dispatch a maintenance technician if the issue is truly something that needs to be handled immediately, while the guest is still in residence.  All guests should vacate property for the maintenance technician to enter or we ask that our maintenance technician be given the courteous safe distancing opportunity during their service call for safety reasons.

Using Pools at Your Rental

Additionally, you can feel safe using the hot tub and pool at your vacation rental. According to the CDC, "There is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g., with chlorine and bromine) of pools should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19."

Checking in to Your Go Punta Cana Vacations Rental

All of our Go Punta Cana Vacations have lockbox or Smart Keyless Entry systems. We will email your check-in instructions which will include a unique door/lock box code one day prior to your arrival, allowing you to drive directly to your vacation rental home for "self" check-in. You can also check out with the same code and depart, bypassing our office staff.

Because of the extra steps being taken between guest departure and arrival in an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, we will not be able to grant late check-out or early check-in requests. Additionally, when planning your arrival, please also be prepared for many check-ins to take place closer to the end of the check-in window as laid out in your lease agreement. If you are planning on an early departure prior to our 10am check-out time, we are asking for a 24-hour advanced notice so that we can schedule your departure clean for as early as possible. As nearly all of our properties utilize lockboxes and keyless entry, you can bypass our office staff and go immediately to your vacation rental once you have been alerted that the property is ready for check-in. As we continue to adhere to social distancing guidelines as laid out by government and health officials, we ask that you do not go to the property prior to notification that it is ready for check-in.

OUR TEAM

It is our policy that no employee should report to work if they are presenting symptoms identified with COVID-19. Additionally, we have issued hand-sanitizer to each of our offices and encourage all employees to follow recommended hand-washing procedures as laid out by our health officials and leaders. Masks are required for entry into our office and all Go Punta Cana Vacations employees are required to wear a mask and gloves prior to entering any vacation rental property.
