Dolphin Discovery Punta Cana

 

Dolphin Discovery opens its NEW attraction, PIRATE ISLAND. Among a Caribbean environment multicolored water slides, water jets that go up and down and a large bucket of water that spills a surprising waterfall is PIRATE ISLAND.  This amusing scenario was created thinking mainly of offering an added value to the visitors who come to interact with the dolphins in the safest and most comfortable environment in the Dominican Republic.  PIRATE ISLAND has also been created for all the Dominicans who wants to visit and have a fun filled family day inside the Dolphin Discovery Punta Cana.

 

Marinarium

 

Discover the marvels of the marine world and the coral reefs by boarding this half day cruise in which you will have the chance to swim with stingray and sharks.  After the swim you will sail past the Cabeza de Toro and Bávaro coastline. Montaña Redonda

 

Is a natural paradise at nearly 1,000 ft. above sea level in Miches, 45 minutes from Punta Cana. It is a location charged with freshness and peace, ideal for clearing the mind of the daily routine and city life.  Here you will enjoy a 360 degree view where you will also see the entire Samana Bay, the Miches mountain range, the ocean, Costa Esmeralda and Limon beaches, the Limon and La Redonda lagoons. It is also the perfect spot for taking a great photographs.

Zip-lines & Monkey Land

 

Immerse yourself in the lush Dominican jungle. The tour consists of 12 lines spread between 18 platforms: ride one of the longest cables in the Dominican Republic among them an 800-meter long one, at the end we serve fresh fruits. The next 45 minutes are spent in a guided tour where you will interact with our beautiful and friendly squirrel monkeys. They come down from the trees to sit on your shoulder and eat from yours hands. They also love to pose for the cameras, especially for selfies!

Bavaro Runners

 

Camera in hand get ready to capture unbelievable backdrops and typical Dominican villages. We will visit the largest and most important church in the country, the Basilica of La Altagracia, cruise across a sugar cane plantation. go inside an artisan sugar cane mill and watch an accurate re-enactment of a colonial era "trapiche". Visit a local family in their home, they'll invite you to their farm and their coffee plantation, take a moment to taste the real cocoa and many exotics fruits.  Enjoy one of the best Dominican foods in our ranch. To Finalize the day take a dip in the beautiful Macao beach.

In the 40's, this beautiful Victorian house was built, inside a sugarcane plantation. It has the perfect mixture of a construction with historical details and the modern comfort. Dolphin Explorer

 

Is an animal theme park in which you interact with animals in their natural habitat while enjoying the most stringent standards of safety and comfort. Among the many things this park has to offer there is swimming with dolphins, sea otters, snorkeling with stingrays and sharks; as well as a live show with birds and sea lions.

Reserva Ecológica Ojos Indígenas 

 

It's a privately owned protected area that belongs to and is operated by Punta Cana Ecological Foundation.  This reserve, consisting of lowlands subtropical forest, covers 1,500 acres of land dedicated to conservation, investigation and recreation. It is a forest reserve with 12 lagoons, of which three are apt for swimming and provides hábitat for an abundance of birds, reptiles, insects, and other local flora and fauna. Apart from this they have an Ecological Park with interpretive trails that feature distinct attractions related to the natural and cultural history of the island, including an iguana hábitat, petting zoo, sugarcane exhibition and fruit tree garden.

It is the first surfing school to open in Punta Cana.  Operating with the endorsement of the Ministry of Tourism and located at Macao Beach, Macao Surf Camp has been teaching this wholesome fun sport to Dominicans and visiting tourists since 2009.  The staff is certified by the International Surfing Association (ISA) and also receives training from the Canadian Royal Society of Lifesavers. It offers a family friendly ambiance where kids from 4 years old and older can receive their surfing lessons.
